How to Copy an Instagram Caption and Hashtags
- 1Open the Reel or post in Instagram, tap the share icon (or the three dots) and choose Copy link.
- 2Paste the link in the box above and wait a moment for the preview.
- 3Tap Copy caption for the whole text, or Copy hashtags for just the tags, then paste them wherever you need them.
What the Caption Copier Does
Instagram doesn't let you select and copy a caption in its app, which is a nuisance when you want to save a recipe, quote a line, or reuse your own text. This tool reads the caption Instagram shows publicly for the post and puts it in a box, with buttons that copy it to your clipboard.
You get the text as written: emojis, line breaks, mentions and hashtags included, up to Instagram's 2,200-character limit. Nothing is rewritten or translated, and the video download buttons stay available on the same card if you want the Reel as well.
Copy Only the Hashtags
Copy hashtags picks every tag out of the caption, removes duplicates and gives them to you on one line, separated by spaces, ready to paste into a note or a draft. Tags in any language and script are recognised, such as #travel, #café or #मुंबई.
It is a quick way to see which hashtags a post used. Reusing them on your own posts is up to you, but copying a whole set word for word rarely helps: pick the ones that really describe your content.
Works Beyond Instagram
The same box takes links from TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook and the other supported platforms. Where the platform shows a text with the post, such as a TikTok caption, a tweet or a YouTube description, you can copy it the same way.
If a post has no caption at all, there is nothing to copy and the copy buttons don't appear. Photo posts and carousels work too, since the caption belongs to the post rather than to a single slide.
Respect the Writer
A caption is someone's writing. Copying it to keep for yourself, to translate it, or to quote it with credit is fine; publishing it as your own isn't. When you reuse a line, mention the account it came from.
Only public posts can be read, because SaveReelsFast never logs in to any account. Nothing you paste is stored, and the caption only ever goes to your own clipboard.
